Beautiful In His Time

from Ordinary People by Ian Peacock

/

about

This song was based around a quote I heard in a sermon:

“There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!”

― Abraham Kuyper

One day, Jesus will indeed be The Lord of all the earth. Until that day, we will do our best to reflect his lordship of our lives, where ever we live, work or play.

lyrics

Verse 1:
All the earth, every creature, every tree -
you spoke and creation came to be
Every man, every woman, every child -
you're calling all things to be reconciled

Pre Chorus 1:
From the pubs to the prisons,
We proclaim Christ is risen!
In the creche and in the school
we'll display Jesus' rule

Chorus:
Is there anywhere that God does not say 'mine'?
He'll make everything beautiful in his time

Verse 2:
All our lives, Lord, at work, at rest or play,
From dusk to dawn , we offer you each day.
Monday morning, through the week, pressures and peace
May your reflection through me never cease

Pre Chorus 2:
On the train, in the office
We're secure, for we are his
In the home or on the ward
We will show Christ is Lord

Chorus:
Is there anywhere that God does not say 'mine'?
He'll make everything beautiful in his time

Middle 8:
Jesus- you should be the lord of all
Jesus - you will be the lord of all
