We All Need A Friend

from The End Of Faith by Ian Peacock & Friends

/

about

Inspired by Solomon's wisdom in the Old Testament book of 'Ecclesiastes', this song is about friendship. And we all need a friend don't we?!

lyrics

There was a man all alone, he had no son, he had no brother.
There was no end to his toil and his eyes weren’t satisfied, though in riches and in pride.

Two hands are better than one,
they will reap a great reward.
When one falls one will pick him up.
When they lie down they will be warm,
defend together in the wars.

Ooh, we all need a friend,
Ooh, we all need a friend
We all need a friend.

A man may have many companions,
where will they be in times of trouble?
Better to be wounded by a friend than to be kissed by enemies.
Even brothers can deceive.
